Responsibilities: * Lead innovation projects * Create business cases/solution concepts in cooperation with the concerned business functions and workgroups to ensure it can be translated into tangible business value * Drive research & development based on innovation with the most advanced technology and concept such as AI, Augmented Reality, Big Data, Internet of Things and Robotics, etc * Solicit market feedback and competitor intelligence, leverage benchmarking data and industry research to identify insights, strategic and innovation opportunities * Explore, assess and recommend new advanced technologies against current processes and technologies, which provide high business value to IATA * Identify and build relationships with third party Research & Development institutes, technology partners and Supply Chain organizations * Communicate the innovation initiatives internally * Test and refine ideas within IATA in live environments to elicit feedback and refine them * Be accountable for the delivery of innovation projects. * Support the rollout of the Design Thinking innovation program within IATA Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS * Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar * Proven experience in IT business, consulting, research projects and project management * Design Thinking Certification SKILLS  * Proven experience delivering new products & services  * Having an entrepreneurial spirit * Ability to recognize Industry and Market trends * Ability to lead and coordinate efforts and resources within and across boundaries to deliver goals * Ability to influence and convince others in a way that results in acceptance and agreement * Capable of systematic and rational analysis to identify the root cause of problems * Capable of making informed judgments and to generate pragmatic, practical, timely solutions * Able to initiate and implement new approaches and procedures * Able to translate strategy into operational plans and on to execution * Capable to communicate across hierarchical levels * Ability to work in a highly complex environment and deal with stakeholders with converged but different goals * Ready to take personal accountability for achieving individual and shared goals * Self-motivated, self-driven and result-oriented * High commitment and positive attitude in the face of setbacks and obstacles * Ability to build trust and collaborate with different teams * Willingness to challenge the status quo and to drive innovation and change * Capable to generate creative ideas/solutions * Willingness to learn and ability self-teach ------------------------- People are at the heart of everything we do at IATA. Required skills: Reporting to the Head, Office of the CIO, the Manager Innovation  is a key member of the ITS Innovation team. This person manages the innovation process and introduces innovative, technologically-driven ideas to both internal, business-facing customers. Specific tasks include * plan innovation lifecycle * coordinate with all ITS department and external stakeholders the assessment of new technologies and practices which may increase IATA’s productivity, improve IATA’s products and services or drive new lines of business * develop prototypes with internal or external resources and run pilot programs * productize the successful innovation outcomes * Assist in deploying Design Thinking across the business

In 2003, we introduced new staff selection process, performance assessment and rewards systems.

In 2004, we improved our structure to make IATA a well-integrated organisation by introducing the matrix model. Our goal was to facilitate cross-divisional collaboration and circulation of best practices.

In 2005, we reviewed our organisational design to reduce the number of layers and broaden the span of control. Additionally, we developed a dynamic sales organisation and culture.

In 2006, we consolidated European regional offices into one unique hub and drove staff development from simply training to focus on a leadership & learning role.

Also, in cooperation with Dr. Noel Tichy of the University of Michigan School of Business, we have successfully launched the IATA Change Leadership (ICL) and the IATA Leadership Development Programme (ILDP), which act as incubators for preparing the next generation of IATA leaders.

Additionally, the IATA Internship Programmes (IIP) allows us to attract and develop - on a worldwide basis - the best among young talents interested in joining the air transport industry.
