Responsibilities:   The Vice President Global Sales is responsible for providing strategic commercial leadership in defining, developing and reviewing sales strategies for growth and profitability. The role ensures that overall sales and revenue targets are accomplished with reduced cost of sales. Your key accountabilities include: STRATEGIC * Formulates and implements sustainable and competitive global sales strategies that support the long term sales and revenue growth of the QR passenger business * Supports the Chief Commercial Officer in defining and preparing business plans for achieving growth outside the traditional sales channels and markets. * Devises new business development opportunities to further growth both on our own and through strategic partnerships, as appropriate. * Devises a strategic focused on increasing QR’s market share in existing markets as well as identifying and developing new markets to increase revenue. * Ensures that strategies are regularly updated to reflect changes in business drivers, growth, technology development as well as global advancements in the aviation industry * Ensures that sales strategies and models are benchmarked at least once per year against competitive strategies to keep QR ahead of its competitors. * Optimizes the channel mix and ensures that new channels are identified and developed that are designed to extend our sales reach and lower our cost of sales. * Maintains a key focus on keeping abreast new and emerging sales models across the industry in order to innovate and challenge traditional sales models to ensure that QR is always focused and competitive. * Establishes a robust and scalable sales performance measurement system and process that regularly monitors QR performance and enables our sales force in the field to perform optimally by providing them with decision relevant information on the move. This includes establishing and measuring sales performance against KPI’s as well as against QR competitors. * Works in tandem with Marketing to ensure that global sales and business development strategies and plans are fully aligned and supported by marketing and promotion plans, across the globe. * Sets ancillary business strategies and align them to contribute to our overall revenue. OPERATIONAL * Ensures that global sales processes are continuously reviewed and, where necessary, re-engineered across all channels to manage QR’s growth, ensure processes are transportable, yet localized, to be relevant in all local markets across the network. * Drives continuous improvement to sales processes across the QR global network with the appropriate use of technology and process driven innovations to enable efficiencies. * Optimizes the cost of sales by focusing on reducing our GDS and other sales costs and increasingly exploiting lower cost of sales channels to decrease our costs. * Manages annual budget planning and monitoring for revenue, operating cost, capital expenditure. Sets up and pursues annual business targets and profitability. MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP * Leads and manages the Head Office global sales team to ensure that they are fully supported and provided with the relevant tools to give them the required agility and flexibility. * Sets team and individual objectives and measurable KPI’s so that each person in the team adds measurable value to our top line. * Establishes the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
Required skills: You must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 10 years of job-related experience in an international airline. You must have previous experience in budget and planning. You have proven track record in driving the delivery of significant change in the business through innovative sales strategy and processes. You are able to manage a multi-country sales force with a commercial mind-set. You have exceptional leadership skills with positive attitude and ability to develop and nurture partnerships within the organizations.  You have strong business acumen and has the ability y to use strategic thinking and problem solving skills to create new strategies, build business cases and engage stakeholders. You have sound knowledge of the travel industry with the insight and ability to forecast future trends.  You are able to develop effective marketing and sales techniques and deliver measurable results in exceeding sales goals and objectives. You are able to challenge others to manage change creatively, implement new approaches and encourage continuous improvement within your area of assignment. You can work under pressure in a dynamic working environment, perform to tight deadlines and challenging issues. You will be working in a multi-cultural environment and need to be able to delegate work, set clear direction for your team and manage workflow of both internal and external processes. You have an excellent command of written and spoken English with established ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization. Notes: 1. Resume / CV 2.
