Responsibilities: Support the Country Manager in the deliver the operational plan in place towards the achievement of the Strategic Plan in coordination with other IATA Divisions. Evaluate legal, regulatory or other matters required from IATA’s keeping the airline members' interest at the core of every action. Provide guidance and advice on key legal and regulatory issues, including lobbying on behalf of the industry. Represent IATA in meetings with regulators and persuade as needed for key regulatory matters for the benefit of the industry. Work with the Country Manager in the design, development and delivery of the strategy including the communications components. Work closely with other divisions on all cross functional areas to build, maintain and support strong stakeholder management with airlines, governments and all entities in relation to issues affecting members and airline business under the legal and regulatory environment. Build and maintain a proactive approach in the relationships with member airlines and other industry stakeholders, including airports, government authorities, suppliers and service providers; Provide legal analysis and advice to promote IATA’s agenda among airlines, government, airports and other industry stakeholders Prepare position papers, letters, and documents to present to the regulatory agencies to support the objectives defined for IATA in Mexico. Collaborate in the organization of IATA events in the region including Aviation Days, Aviation Summits and others. Manage and collaborate with actions involving external stakeholders for the delivery of IATA's objectives. Qualifications: Knowledge of aviation law or similar legislation; Ability to negotiate and deal with a multitude of stakeholders; Experience in the aviation law/regulatory practice Ability to process complex information and derive analytical thinking Ability to provide solutions to complex scenarios; Proven ability to deliver results Team player and the ability to run with complex directions and deliver on IATA's Agenda. Discipline for self-fulfillment, ability to learn at a quick pace Communication skills and proficiency in writing skills Ability to work as a strong team player in a dynamic, multi-cultural, fast paced and highly demanding environment while being organized to deliver on tight deadlines and productivity metrics; Ability to set priorities and work with a high level of drive, energy and speed with a strong customer focus, Ability to resolve conflicts Since IATA is servicing customers and members throughout the Americas' Region the ideal candidate must be willing to periodically work after normal working hours, possibly on weekends or on official public holidays. 3-5 years of experience in the aviation, transport, travel, related and/or similar industry Bachelor’s Degree in Law Command of Spanish and English Languages - proficiency both written and verbal Travel is required for up to 10% of the time The domicile of this position is Mexico City.  IATA is looking for candidates that are lawfuly authorized to work in Mexico and academic credentials with validity in the mexican territory.  ------------------------- At the heart of IATA are our Values and Behaviors. A key function will be the proactive review of regulatory and legal environment that could have implications in the aviation sector. The candidate will be responsible for the development and provision of advice efforts, for the strategical efforts to minimize impacts in the industry. The successful candidate will lead the manning of external resources or vendors to ensure IATA delivers its agenda. The successful candidate will collaborate other associations or stakeholders and build coalitions as deemed necessary.

Responsibilities:
