Responsibilities: Preparing lesson plans in accordance with students' learning needs. Designing and presenting educational material. Plan, prepare, and teach well developed lessons which enthuse and inspire students, and promote enjoyment of learning. Effectively and appropriately differentiate instruction to meet all students’ learning styles with an appreciation for students’ learning differences. Assess, track, and provide relevant and timely feedback on achievement (performance and growth) and developmental needs to students, academic, and other managers/colleagues. Tailoring lessons to accommodate differences in learning style and speed. Encouraging student participation and student discussions to keep them active and engaged in learning. Assigning homework, special projects, and reading assignments to students. Providing feedback to students and assigning grades to their coursework (as appropriate). Assessing (formatively) and monitoring individual student performance to ensure students are keeping up with the curriculum and not falling behind the rest of the class. Grading summative assessments as allocated, and keeping to the timelines as set. Evaluating students' progress (through the use of ILPs) and reporting on students who are at-risk of not completing the term successfully. Preparing and disseminating progress reports at regular intervals, as required. Assisting students with their technical difficulties, where possible. Communicating with students to provide informal progress discussions and updates through online chat sessions and email (where appropriate). They may also hold online “office hours” so students can communicate with them at their convenience. Tracking student attendance to online classes and marking students absent in line with the rules of the Academy. Remaining knowledgeable about and respectful of cultural differences within the classroom. Contribute to curriculum development of programmes Attend and contribute to training sessions Participate in Continuing Development Programmes Prepare information for inspection visits and other quality assurance exercises Undertake administrative tasks, such as keeping student registers and attendance records. Undertake duties assigned by the Administration Department Supports the aims, objectives, goals, ethos, and mission of OxfordSaudia Flight Academy Adhere to standards and procedures detailed in the Staff Handbook Optional Tasks but overlapping Write reports on students with clear formative comments and targets as to how to improve work by defined deadlines given and provide regular estimated grades and feedback on assessments. Maintain current lesson plans, assessment data (Grades), and attendance records using a defined Academy electronic interface. Prepare and set tests, examination papers and exercises Mark and provide appropriate feedback on oral and written work Devise, write and produce new materials, including audio and visual resources Ensure lessons are in line with planning and their respective objectives, and that segments of lessons are shared with students, as appropriate. Provide feedback on materials, courses, and lessons to academic and other managers/colleagues as requested.
