Responsabilidades: To perform operations tasks for all procurement requirements in a given or group of product categories, adhering to agreed timelines, interfacing with internal customers and suppliers to ensure adherence to process in a timely and effective manner.
Habilidades requeridas: OPERATIONAL * Evaluate specification accuracy put forward by user departments and assist Procurement Specialist in processing requests. * Responsible for negotiation with suppliers on costs and commercial terms for low to medium value goods and services. * Proactively seek to provide solutions to operational problems such as delays, lack of supplier’s responses. * Create, review and maintain relevant Procurement activities i.e. purchase orders, item codes to support operational requirements. Ensure Purchase Orders are raised with correct pricing, delivery date and payment terms to protect QR from risk. * Responsible for Tender administration generally including creating system documents, printing and approvals circulation, checking for all required documents, grammar and spelling, calculations so that approving managers may proceed. * Prepare reporting data and obtain validation from Procurement Manager to ensure common data is recognized and agreed. * Be diligent in checking and delivering high quality, accurate work to internal customers, managers and suppliers. * Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department. * Use leading practice procurement tools to implement the sourcing strategies including: * Supply base profiles * Summary of quotations ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (GENERIC FOR THE WHOLE TEAM) * Provide regular status updates to manager on ongoing tenders, such as clarifications, approvals processes and award. * Organise and control purchasing department records necessary for complying with audit requirements, up to date and accessible. * Achieving assigned KPIs in line with Category KPIs * Provision of data to assist in category strategy definition and KPI monitoring. * Ensure conformance at all times of the organisation to Procurement process, DoA and any other relevant company policies and processes when performing all duties, such as PO creation, tender issuances etc. * Develop relationships with end users, vetting received souring requests and ensure user clearly defines requirements as per the scope and obtains relevant approvals as per policies and DoA. PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT * Take responsibility for own ongoing personal development and growth of expertise. * Keep abreast with any market trends and developments. * Assist in the response to any emergency or a major operational disruption affecting Qatar Airways or its subsidiaries, including support of the Qatar Airways Special Assistance Program. * Train Qatari staff in various duties as per business requirements. OPERATIONAL SAFETY * Ensure full awareness of work health and safety requirements and expectations in order to minimise health and safety risks for self and colleagues. * Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the operation to guarantee employee safety, security, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality service with a responsible environmental attitude. * Take a direct and personal interest in reported injuries, incidents, near misses and hazards to ensure that appropriate reporting, investigation and response is being achieved. ENVIRONMENTAL COMPETENCIES UNDERSTAND: * Contribute towards Qatar Airways Group Environmental Objectives and targets and the implementation and maintenance of the Environmental Management System. * Apply environmental knowledge and principles in your role, and incorporate this into business processes and decision making, to drive efficiencies and reduce environmental and operational risks.
