Responsibilities: As an Engineer for the Battery Assembly line, you will help our client in the Munich area create faster, better and more efficient products. In your future job, you will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering team and design and establish of the entire battery production station and its processes. Task description • Ensuring capability acquisition of new technologies, systems and factories for the production of primary structure components • Driving close cooperation between Design, Manufacturing and Supply teams to design and optimize manufacturing processes and introduce the product into domestic factories • Supporting supplier selection as well as the establishment of a supply chain • Specification and provision of new production machinery and equipment for plants • Actively supporting the Shop Floor in all production-related aspects • Driving continuous improvement across the entire production network • Focal point to relevant functions involved, including engineering, purchase, quality, manufacturing and facility management
Required skills: • Degree in mechanical engineering • Several years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering within a related field, e.g. in automotive or aerospace • Deeper knowledge in the fields of battery package assembly planning, of robotic, automation and welding techniques as well as experience with high-volume assembly line environments, including the definition of manufacturing processes (including material, equipment and machinery) and production ramp-up • Expertise in composite design as well as in Lean methods (ergonomics, HS&E and process capability) are desirable • Versed in applying time management systems (MTM and REFA) • Confident use of MS Office, ERP, MES and CAD • Fluent English • English CV required What our client offers • Very good and negotiable payment • High flexibility with regard to working hours • Extensive benefit program with catering, team events, state-of-the-art work equipment and much more • Flat hierarchies and maximum personal development and participation potential • Open, team-oriented and dynamic working atmosphere • Extensive support in case of relocation
