Náplň práce: Zenon is delighted to be commissioned by a leading organization to source a Technical Director for a permanent position based in the South of England. As Technical Director you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, overseeing and directing the maintenance activities carried out for our client throughout the UK. You will drive improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance planning and control, ensuring safety, operational, customer satisfaction and financial objectives are met or exceeded. The Technical Director is a senior position with the company leadership team with line management responsibility and accountability for the Continuing Airworthiness department and the Maintenance Planning and Control department. This will include managing any outsource partners contracted to support these functions, and dealing with third party maintenance providers. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a track record of planning and managing maintenance operations with sustained business performance, driving change and building motivated teams. The candidate will need to demonstrate an understanding of Continuing Airworthiness Management and the regulatory environment and either hold, or be capable and willing to hold, a CAM position approved by the UK CAA. The Technical Director will report operationally to the Managing Director on day to day matters and will report directly to the Accountable Manager on regulatory matters including departmental funding. This position is offering a competitive salary, Full-time 40 hour week, Monday to Friday, Pension, Private Healthcare, Life Assurance, Travel Insurance and Group Health Scheme. Responsibilities • Ensuring that compliance is maintained within the applicable requirements within the specific area of responsibility, including the regulations as laid down in EASA Part 145 and any other procedures required and approved by the competent Authority. - Establishment and development of continuing airworthiness policy, including the direct and indirect approval maintenance programmes required by M.A.302. - Analysis of the effectiveness of the Maintenance Programme as required by Part M.A.708(b) & Appendix 1 to AMC M.A.302. - The relationship with the Part 145 maintenance contractor(s) and establishment of a Maintenance Contract required by Part M.A.201(h)2. • Defining the system for maintaining and regaining airworthiness certificates of company aircraft • Making sure that all maintenance is carried out on time and conforms to the approved standards • Arranging the training requirements of maintenance personnel • Monitoring maintenance contractors employed by the Company and checking that they meet the required standards • Check compliance with required aircraft CAW programmes and procedures • Monitor flight time on Company aircraft for the purpose of planning maintenance and repairs • Co-ordinate and check maintenance acceptance flights • Monitoring technical standards and presentation of Company aircraft • The addressing of any Quality System findings and development of any effective follow up actions • The development of a non-mandatory modification embodiment policy • Preparation of the Technical Log, required by Part M.A.306, including any subsequent amendment thereto. • Ensure pilots are duly trained and authorised to issue Certificates of Release to Service, where necessary and appropriate, by the contracted Part 145 maintenance organization • Review and implementation, as appropriate, of any additional NAA national requirements. • Preparation of the maintenance contracts required by Part M.A.201(h)2 • The control of this Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition and preparation of amendments. In addition to the technical and airworthiness knowledge the successful candidate will be required to perform the following business management, leadership and commercial responsibilities: • Develop the UK maintenance department programme as input to the UK annual business plan • Propose associated maintenance resource requirements and budgets • Plan, coordinate, direct and oversee maintenance work performed • Provide positive leadership in customer relations and ensure customer satisfaction • Ensure teams from different sites, divisions and companies work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service. • Develop and monitor metrics to support the achievement of objectives, drive performance and to achieve consistency of maintenance. • Establish and modify maintenance policies, processes and procedures as required to optimise the successful delivery of maintenance. • Ensure adherence to and improvement of safety and compliance policies and procedures and protection of customer aircraft. • Own relationships with third party organisations where they pertain to maintenance and airworthiness activities. • Participate in business development activities to win new contracts. Experience required • 10+ years of aircraft maintenance experience. • 10+ years of experience managing multiple site aircraft maintenance including complex aircraft modifications. • Proven track record of engineering management roles in the aviation industry, demonstrating successful delivery and leadership capabilities. • Strong team building and communications skills, fostering a positive organisational culture and delivering continuous improvement • Customer-focussed with proven ability to achieve outcomes that meet customer requirements within contracted performance and planned commercial parameters. • Sound knowledge of the aviation industry and its safety and compliance requirements. • Sound business and commercial acumen with astute decision making to optimise business outcomes while adhering to safety and compliance requirements. • Good influencing skills and ability to build relationship with executive stakeholders and exercise company values. • Confident, tenacious and assertive with effective negotiation skills.
