In relation with the areas under responsibility, the incumbent will: -Achieve revenue, expense and surplus margin targets for the associated profit center(s) in conjunction with the IATA Consulting teams in the regions; -Identify consulting opportunities in the areas under responsibility; this will require the development of unsolicited proposals as well as responses to calls for expression of interest and requests for proposals in coordination with the regional teams and central business development teams; -Support the negotiation of consulting projects in conjunction with the Consulting teams in the regions; -Develop a pool of external experts and negotiate contracts for external resources needed to execute the consultancy projects, including pricing, specifications and resource allocation; -Manage the execution and/or delivery of consultancy projects in coordination with the Consulting delivery teams in the regions; -Prepare annual budgets and quarterly financial forecasts, submit reports and regular updates on progress, accomplishments, financial status and opportunities as requested; - Manage the business development pipeline for the projects under responsibility in coordination with the regional teams and central business development teams; -Develop, implement and sell new products and services in the area under responsibility in conjunction with the regional teams and central business development teams; -Oversee the career development of the SFO consulting staff in the Consulting regions in conjunction with the relevant Heads of Poles (regions) and PPD (People, Performance and Development) staff. Qualifications: - University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or a related subject - Formal training in civil aviation management and/or aviation safety would be an advantage; - Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience as a Consultant, project manager and project director in Air Traffic Management and an additional area within the scope of responsibility; - Experience with large projects as well as third-party funded projects such as the WB, the EU and other regional banks; - High level of computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office and MS project; - Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to write reports in English, knowledge of another language would be an advantage; - Willingness to undertake international travel; - Ability to work well in cross-functional and multi-national teams. ------------------------- At the heart of IATA are our Values and Behaviors. Responsibilities will include generating budgeted sales of professional advice, managing consulting assignments and managing administrative aspects of the portfolio. In addition, the Principal Safety, Flight Ops, Civil Aviation and ATM Consulting will be required to participate in engagements as a subject matter expert.
